Meet Kate

Here’s my story.

I’ve been a “Counter Hopper” since the age of 20. What is a “Counter Hopper?” It’s when you walk into a department store and walk up to a counter and you purchase skincare and make up products, you get home and have no idea what you just bought.

In 2017 I saw my cousin Hilary and said, “what line of products are you using? Your complexion looks fantastic! And so it began, I was buying Beautycounter products so much so that she asked me to join her team at Beautycounter, a “clean beauty” company prioritizing transparency and safe ingredients. I was ready for something new and fun, and a week later I realized it was time to take a leap of faith and take the job. So I became a Brand Advocate, getting safer beauty into the hands of many people!

It was at this time my eyes opened up to another new journey – picking up my guitar again and really being serious about it. Playing and singing with my husband, we would do some Live videos on Facebook and people engaged with us and liked what we were doing. I found passion for music again and my niece, Jenna Brown, named us “Southern Kick.” And so it began.

All of a sudden, my life was full again it an entirely different way. I decided to create this space to celebrate those things that give each of us clarity and fulfillment in life, be it food, travel, health, music or friendship. These things helped me so much, and I hope they bring you joy too.
